The 'Global ICT Future Unicorn Fostering Project', overseen by the Ministry of Science and ICT, is a program that supports 15 ICT companies with high growth potential in the global market to grow into global unicorn companies. Since 2020, it has selected 15 companies annually based on comprehensive value assessments of companies, including global capabilities, technology and marketability, and return plans, deeming them highly likely to achieve rapid growth as global unicorn companies. Selected companies receive up to 50 billion won in growth capital guarantees for three years, and the Korea Institute for Information and Communications Technology Promotion (NIPA) provides intensive support for overseas expansion through localized programs utilizing its overseas bases in the US, Singapore, Vietnam, India, etc.
