Establishing a Trusted Scan Electronic Processing Center without document export to external workplaces
Providing cloud services from paper document scanning to document management, it is expected to help companies with ESG management and digital transformation.
ZenithST, a specialist in electronic document solutions, announced on the 10th that it has obtained Electronic Processing Center certification from the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) for its self-developed Trusted Scan solution.
ZenithST's Trusted Scan solution is a system that scans paper documents and then converts them into electronic documents through recognition, indexing, and verification processes, and transmits them to a certified electronic document center to ensure the authenticity of the scanned documents.
The conventional scanning method in general workplaces is difficult to prove legal evidence, so the original paper documents had to be stored separately after scanning. To resolve this issue, the government has introduced an electronic processing system based on the 'Electronic Documents and Electronic Transactions Basic Act' to ensure the reliability of scanned documents. After going through the trusted scan process based on the electronic processing system and sending and storing it to the certified electronic document center, it meets the conditions for disposing of the original paper document.
Previously, to perform a trusted scan, companies and public institutions had to either build a trusted scan solution and related environment in-house and obtain Electronic Processing Center certification, or outsource the documents to an external specialized electronic processing business. However, for documents that are difficult to export externally due to security reasons, there were difficulties in performing trusted scan work.
To solve this problem, ZenithST developed a cloud-based Electronic Processing Center system so that companies can use the Trusted Scan without exporting their important documents externally. By using the cloud-based Electronic Processing Center, companies can perform trusted scans without the burden of exporting important documents externally. In addition, by scanning directly, it is cheaper than external outsourcing and reduces the time required for processing.
For companies that have been struggling with the management and utilization of paper documents with storage obligations, the difficulties of building an Electronic Processing Center in-house or the security risks associated with document export when outsourcing externally are expected to be resolved. From a digital transformation perspective, scanning existing important documents will be an essential prerequisite step.
