Superb AI operates an all-in-one computer vision AI platform capable of reading and identifying images, videos, and 3D lidar data.
Toyota adopted Superb AI's solution due to its need for a tool that simplifies data labeling. The automatic annotation feature allows for the easy creation of metadata.
Superb AI has expanded its global influence by establishing corporations in three countries: Korea, the United States, and Japan. It has secured major clients in Japan, including Nippon Steel (Nippon Steel Corporation) and Toyota.
Superb AI, a leading provider of all-in-one vision AI solutions (CEO Hyunsu Kim, www.superb-ai.com), announced on the 21st that it has supplied its 'Superb Platform' to Toyota, Japan's largest automaker.
Toyota was searching for a tool that simplifies segmentation (the process of outlining the detailed contours of individual objects to classify their location and shape within images or videos) during data labeling, leading them to adopt Superb AI's solutions. They particularly appreciated that the Superb Platform offers all ML Ops functionalities within a single platform.
While facing challenges with data annotation (Data Annotation) tasks, they discovered the Superb Platform's automatic annotation feature and highly praised its ability to significantly streamline the process. Data annotation involves adding metadata to datasets that describes the purpose of the data. It's like adding comments to data, allowing AI to understand its content.
Superb AI provided Toyota with an automatic annotation function, enabling them to perform annotation directly within the Superb Platform. Additionally, AI analysis features facilitate post-labeling processing and management, thereby improving cost-effectiveness.
Superb AI operates a range of solutions for developing and managing computer vision AI capable of reading and identifying images, videos, and 3D lidar data. These include 'Superb Service,' which provides expert consulting, data design, and AI algorithm development and operation, and 'Superb Platform,' a high-performance AI development platform that encompasses the entire AI development lifecycle within a single platform. Because it offers data analysis, model creation, and deployment within a single SaaS platform, it allows for faster AI model development and management.
Currently, Superb AI is expanding its global reach by establishing corporations in three countries: Korea, the United States, and Japan. In Japan, the company has experienced remarkable growth, securing prominent clients such as Toyota and Nippon Steel (Nippon Steel Corporation). Beyond that, Superb AI has provided vision AI solutions to over 100 corporate clients, including leading technology companies both domestically and internationally, such as Samsung, LG Electronics, Qualcomm, Hyundai Motor Company, and SK Telecom.
To date, it has secured approximately 35.5 billion won in cumulative funding from Korean and American investors and aims for an initial public offering (IPO) in the first half of 2026.
Takeshi Fujii, Superb AI's Japan sales representative, explained, “The Japanese market currently lacks a platform that consolidates all ML Ops functionalities. As a result, the Superb Platform has received positive feedback at local exhibitions and showcases. While most Japanese companies outsource annotation tools, we empower our clients to perform data labeling and processing themselves, preventing them from wasting unnecessary resources.”
Hyunsu Kim, CEO of Superb AI, stated, “In traditional manufacturing industries, the importance of automation and robotics solutions, including those that can replace retiring workers due to an aging and declining population, is growing. We will continue to leverage our technology-driven solutions to lead AX in Japan's traditional industrial sectors.”
