SK C&C (CEO: Yoon, Pung-Young) announced on the 22nd that it will provide a “comprehensive AI predictive maintenance service tailored to manufacturing plants” based on its manufacturing-specialized AI comprehensive digital factory platform ‘iFacts’.

The ‘iFacts AI Predictive Maintenance Service’ is an AI hyper-automation service that incorporates the predictive maintenance system and production process operation experience and know-how based on machine and equipment data accumulated over the past few years in various manufacturing industries such as steel, chemicals, energy, semiconductors, batteries, and materials both at home and abroad.

AI, which has learned the operating conditions of machinery and equipment for each production process, identifies and informs the causes of machine failures and equipment malfunctions that have a significant impact on product production and quality, supporting stable machine and equipment operation.

To this end, SK C&C has integrated predictive maintenance services (PPdM, Proactive PreDictive Maintenance) and fault detection services (FDC, Fault Detection And Classification) currently being applied by combining digital automation technology and AI into the iFacts platform.

‘PPdM’ detects vibrations occurring in manufacturing plant equipment using sensors and transmits them to the cloud via the LTE wireless network. AI analyzes the abnormal signs of each component in real time and informs the user.

‘FDC’, developed for process systems and machinery and equipment, detects and classifies various errors and malfunctions that can lead to various errors and malfunctions in various systems and machines in advance, helping to effectively carry out maintenance. It is equipped with DAQ (Data Acquisition) data acquisition technology and Smart Edge technology, a field AI data analysis technology, and AI monitors the entire process system to detect equipment failures in advance.

Manufacturing plants have been facing some difficulties in implementing comprehensive predictive maintenance across the entire production process by separately operating predictive maintenance services or fault detection services.
