Seoul National University of Science and Technology (SeoulTech) announced on April 24 that Plusdot, a company selected for the 2023 Early Startup Package, has been chosen as a resident company for the Ho Chi Minh IT Support Center (2024), operated by the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA).

The Ho Chi Minh IT Support Center is a facility established to support domestic ICT companies' entry into and business in Southeast Asian markets, including Vietnam. It is located on Le Duan Street, the financial and administrative center of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
From April 11th, NIPA recruited resident companies for the 2024 Ho Chi Minh IT Support Center, targeting promising domestic ICT companies that are advancing into Vietnam and Southeast Asia with Vietnam as a base. The recruitment size is 2 companies. NIPA provides support to resident companies, including △office space and meeting rooms, △consulting on local laws, accounting, and labor, △marketing strategy development, △investment attraction linkage with distribution channel partners, and △participation in local events such as exhibitions and investment consultations.
Plusdot operates 'EventPlus,' a platform that connects event organizers and event-related businesses, including events and MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions). It helps organizers conduct more efficient and effective events quickly. Since its founding in 2020, Plusdot has been growing rapidly, recording a sales growth rate of over 150% annually.
Plusdot's participation in the Ho Chi Minh IT Support Center stemmed from the SeoulTech Startup Support Team's 'Global Market Entry Development Team (Vietnam)' program. The Global Market Entry Development Team is a program designed to support promising early-stage startups seeking to expand into the global market.
Participating companies visited Vietnam in March to conduct △market research for local company visits and market development, △mentoring to enhance market entry potential, △a global demo day, and △networking through matching with local buyers.
Through the Global Market Entry Development Team, Plusdot directly confirmed the feasibility of business in Vietnam and applied to the Ho Chi Minh IT Support Center to realize its global expansion. By residing in the Ho Chi Minh IT Support Center, Plusdot plans to secure necessary infrastructure and networks in the local area and proceed with the localization of services, including the development of Vietnam-specific event management solutions and local recruitment.
Kim Jun-hyeok, CEO of Plusdot, said, "Being selected as a resident company of the Ho Chi Minh IT Support Center, which selects only two companies, is recognition of our business feasibility in the local area." He added, "We expect this selection to provide us with a solid foundation for quickly adapting to and growing in the Vietnamese market."
