Flitto and the Tongyeong Office of Employment and Labor have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to enhance administrative services for foreign workers through 'Chat Translation,' a real-time multilingual interpretation solution powered by AI technology.
According to the employment status of foreign workers in the Tongyeong jurisdiction, Nepalese workers constitute the largest group at 23.6%, followed by Indonesians at 14.8%, and Uzbeks at 13.6%. Flitto plans to provide services in a total of 38 languages, including those of these countries. This is expected to significantly reduce the burden of accessing administrative services for foreign workers in the Tongyeong jurisdiction due to language barriers.
In particular, this service will enable foreign workers visiting the Tongyeong Office of Employment and Labor to receive explanations related to employment support in accurate translations tailored to the context, including industrial terms used in manufacturing, shipbuilding, fisheries, agriculture, livestock, and even everyday words.
'Chat Translation' is characterized by its significantly improved accuracy in speech recognition (Speech to Text) and AI translation results due to high-quality data training. It assists everyone in communicating easily and accurately in their native language and is widely utilized in various settings, including workplaces, medical centers, tourist information centers, and administrative support centers.
