The only domestic startup to participate as a sponsor in the ASU+GSV Conference for three consecutive years
Scheduled to operate an environmental camp at Yongin Sharing School in June and present on US edtech trends
Famppy announced that it was selected as an 'AI Education Revolution Women's Enterprise' at the ASU+GSV AIR SHOW, the world's largest edtech conference held in San Diego, USA from April 13th to 15th. Famppy participated in the conference with APOC (Apok), an XR interactive content platform equipped with its self-developed AI engine and XR (Extended Reality) engine.
Over 15,000 educators, entrepreneurs, and investors attended this year's 'ASU+GSV AIR SHOW'. Famppy, one of the few Korean AI companies to participate, took to the showcase stage to demonstrate APOC to educators on-site, presenting a demo on the theme of 'Smarter and Easier Visual Communication Through AI'.
APOC is a next-generation XR interactive content platform equipped with Famppy's self-developed AI and XR engines. It allows anyone, regardless of design or development knowledge, to create and distribute their own interactive content. Educators who experienced various content examples and functionalities using the APOC platform and authoring tools were deeply impressed by its ability to design customized curricula tailored to students' learning environments. Several educational institutions in the US have expressed interest in adopting the APOC service.
ASU+GSV executives commended Famppy's three consecutive years of sponsorship and participated in and encouraged the AR filter event held at the booth.
Earlier this year, in January, Apok successfully engaged over 150 elementary and middle school students at a Gifted and Invention Camp (hereinafter referred to as the Gifted Education Program) held at Dankook University in Yongin City. Using education content created through APOC, the camp implemented real-time quiz games, AR filter creation, and creative activities aligned with the curriculum. This successfully increased student engagement, focus, and self-directed learning. In June, they are planning to hold an environmental camp at Yongin Sharing School utilizing APOC.
ASU+GSV, the world's largest edtech conference, is jointly hosted by Arizona State University and Global Startup Ventures. It is the only domestic startup to participate as a sponsor for three consecutive years. Global education leaders gather at this conference to discuss the future of education. Held annually since 2010, the ASU+GSV Summit has featured former US presidents, secretaries of education, and global leaders from various fields as speakers. This year, they specifically added the AIR Show for AI companies in the edtech sector.
