Plans to merge with digital healthcare platform company VDP Labs this coming July

Coocon (CEO Jong-Hyun Kim, KOSDAQ 294570), a business data platform company, announced on the 22nd that it plans to merge with VDP Labs in July to expand its digital healthcare data business.
Through the merger with VDP Labs, Coocon is expected to expand its service area to the digital healthcare data domain and secure a favorable position in the relevant market.
VDP Labs is a digital healthcare platform company that provides mental health-related content. In 2022, it conducted a pilot wellness service project for Seoul's youth. Furthermore, it possesses a platform that collects and provides healthcare data from various external organizations.
Through this merger, Coocon plans to acquire high-quality public/medical data and commercialize it in the form of APIs to revitalize healthcare data distribution. Based on this, it aims to proactively respond to the digital healthcare sector and attract new customers, such as MyData operators, healthcare companies, and medical institutions. It also plans to further secure data infrastructure through the integration of hospital EMR (Electronic Medical Record).
This merger is considered to be an important foundation for fostering a data-centric digital healthcare industry ecosystem. Coocon anticipates that the synergy of its data distribution capabilities and VDP Labs's digital healthcare infrastructure will create a positive impact.
